Step 1
Ladders, crittles and yeoman's are erected to form a scaffold.

Step 2
All existing guttering is removed, the first row of roof tiles are moved back for access to fascia boards.

Step 3
Then the existing fascia and soffit is removed.

Step 4
The roof rafters are checked for deterioration and replaced if needed

Step 5
The roof rafters are re-aligned using 10mm plastic packers to form a straight edge.

Step 6
Damp proof course (DPC) is placed under existing felt to act as a waterproof membrane.

Step 7
The soffit is measured and cut accordingly and nailed to the bottom ends of the rafters. The wall edge of the soffit is then sealed using silicone.

Step 8
The 16mm fascia is added to the front of the rafters using 65mm polytop non return nails, which are double pinned on each rafter. All tiles are brought down to form the roofs pitch.

Step 9
Guttering is then screwed to the fascia and aligned so the water will run to the running outlet. All joins in the guttering are sealed with silicone for extra protection.

Step 10

Step 11
Bird Comb is added to some houses to prevent birds nesting depending on tile shape.

Step 12
Gutter guard can be added to any style or shape guttering to prevent blockage from leaves and roof rubbish. Regal Rooflines can also offer a full gutter clearing service.
